BIOGRAPHY

Greene was born as Violet Grevious in Hillsboro, Ohio, USA, on 4 June 1906. She was the younger of three children. She was a seamstress and worked in a pants factory in New York for some time.

In July 1934, she got married and eventually had one daughter.

Greene passed away in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, on 1 September 2017, at the age of 111.
