LongeviQuest is pleased to announce the age validation of Sata Mizukami at 111 years old. She is a Japanese supercentenarian currently known as the oldest living person in Nagano Prefecture.
Sata Mizukami was born on 26 March 1912 in Sakuho, Nagano Prefecture, Japan.
In her early twenties, Sata married a farmer and had four children that they raised together.
According to her family, she was a very hard worker. A good testament to this was that she cultivated rice in the paddies, sewn all the clothing and bedding for her household, and tended to the vegetable fields.
Sata occasionally went to hot springs with her husband until he passed away at the age of 90. After this, she was still able to perform sewing and tending to the garden up to the age of 103. It was around that time that she went admitted to a nursing home after sustaining burns from a brazier.
In September 2023, it was announced that she was the oldest living person in Nagano Prefecture.
Sata is currently residing at Sakuho, Nagano Prefecture.
