Cecina, Tuscany, Italy — LongeviQuest is deeply saddened to report the passing of Mr. Tripolino Giannini, Italy’s oldest living man, who departed on 31 December 2023.
Mr. Giannini was born on 20 August 1912, making him 111 years and 133 days old at the time of his passing this morning. In addition to holding the title of the country’s oldest living man, he also held the title of the second-oldest living man in Europe. Mr. Giannini managed a fruit and vegetable shop and served as a Bersaglieri.
His passing was announced by his son Romano Giannini, and was initially reported by Il Tirreno, a regional Italian newspaper from Tuscany. LongeviQuest extends heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Giannini during this difficult time.
