Győrújbarát, Győr-Moson-Sopron County — Mrs. Árpádné Juhász, who is believed to be the oldest living resident of Hungary, celebrated her 110th birthday on May 14th.
Mrs. Juhász was born in the city of Győr, on 14 May 1914. At some point she got married and had a daughter. She worked as an assistant to the doctor at the Richards factory in Győr for decades, up until her retirement in 1970.
At the age of 97, she moved into a nursing home. At the age of 100, she commented that she always loved to exercise and that even then, when the weather was good, she would still walk 1-1.5 kilometers. At the time, she had two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
On 17 December 2022, following the passing of 111-year-old Istvánné Fejes, she became the oldest (known) living resident of Hungary.
The LongeviQuest team would like to extend our congratulations. We hope she enjoyed her day, and we wish her many more years of happiness.
