She was born on 7 July 1913 in the comune of Chiusano d’Asti in the Province of Asti, Piedmont, Italy.
In 1933, at the age of 20, she moved to the city of Río Tercero, Argentina, along with her husband, José Tagliaferro. The couple had two children: Humberto (deceased as of 2023) and Elsa. She was a housewife. She commented that she missed her homeland after moving away. Later, she returned there about four times.
According to her grandson, at 110, she only had a minor hearing problem. However, she was still very lucid. When asked about the secret to her longevity, she said it’s to stay active, always engaging in activities and not sitting idle “with your arms crossed.” She also advised not to worry excessively about things.
