Johanna “Jenny” Sell was a validated American supercentenarian who died in 2012 at the age of 110. She was among the oldest living people in the U. S. state of Minnesota.
Johanna Sell was born near Eldora, Iowa, United States on 28 November 1901. Her family moved to Mountain Lake, Minnesota in 1907, and farmed in the townships of Midway and Selma. Sell attended District 27 County School. She was a wife and a mother to 4 children.
Following a move to Windom, Minnesota in 1961 with her daughter Marlene, Sell took on various part-time jobs, including cleaning, childcare, and even senior care, sometimes for people younger than herself. An active woman throughout her life, Sell enjoyed a variety of hobbies like sewing, crocheting, gardening, cooking, and even farm work in her younger years. Her favorite pastime, though, was spending time with family.
At 98, she transitioned to assisted living and later moved to another care facility at 104, where she resided until her passing. As a supercentenarian, her health declined; she no longer spoke much, lost her hearing, and experienced a broken wrist in her 80s and minor strokes in her 100s.

Johanna Sell died in Windom, Cottonwood County, Minnesota, United States on 1 May 2012 at the age of 110 years, 155 days. She was survived by her four children, as well as 15 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
