Lela Schnorf was a validated American supercentenarian who died in 2017 at the age of 111.
Lela Schnorf was born in Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio, USA, on 29 November 1905. Overcoming a near-fatal car accident at 19, Lela Schnorf graduated high school and thrived in the secretarial world. She went from Auto Lite to a prestigious brokerage firm, even weathering the 1929 Wall Street crash. After five years, she married Brandon Grey Schnorf, and they raised two sons while indulging in their shared passions: gardening, bridge, travel, and the Toledo Rose Society. Lela remained active in the Bar Association Auxiliary and became the oldest living member of her beloved Inverness Country Club.

Even in her centenarian years, she remained an avid reader, staying informed of current events, whether they were local or national politics. She voted in every election campaign, including the Presidential election in 2016. She stayed well-informed about financial markets, real estate markets, and all major sporting events.
Schnorf passed away in Monclova, Lucas County, Ohio, USA, on 2 April 2017, at the age of 111 years, 124 days. At the time of her passing, she was the second-oldest known living person in the U.S. state of Ohio, after Lessie Brown.
