LongeviQuest is saddened to report the passing of Kitty Jeffery. She was born in Glenville, Cork, Ireland on 12 November 1914 and passed away in Wilton, Cork, Ireland on 17 January 2024 at the age of 109 years, 66 days. She is widely believed to have been Ireland’s oldest person.
Kitty Jeffery witnessed the Irish Civil War as the worst of times, lamenting the family divisions it left. A devoutly honest and kind soul, she never swore, loved her Irish roots, and enjoyed simple pleasures like reading, crosswords, and Bailey’s. Though widowed in 1986, she found joy in family lunches and cherished chocolates and flowers.
LongeviQuest is extending our deepest condolences to the bereaved family and friends of Mrs. Kitty Jeffery.
